Andrew Hanscom

Trainer

Andrew Hanscom started his athletic career playing sports in high school and college. In 2009, Andrew joined the Marine Corps where he served for nearly six years. It was during a deployment to Afghanistan that he was introduced to CrossFit and fell in love with the sport of fitness.

Upon returning from deployment, Andrew immediately completed his CrossFit Level 1 course and began coaching while still active duty. He used CrossFit, along with swimming and hiking, to prepare for MARSOC (Marine Corps Special Operations Command) selection. After receiving a career ending shoulder injury, he ended his military career and moved to Utah to finish his education.

While in Utah, Andrew competed and coached CrossFit 30 hours a week. He completed the CrossFit Level 2 course shortly after relocating and also pursued a brief stint on the CrossFit Seminar staff.

Andrew accepted a defense aerospace position with Rolls-Royce and relocated to Yuma, Az toward the end of 2016. He has completed his CF-L1, CF-L2, USAW, NASM CPT. He also is the co-founder of Triple 50, a Non-Profit Organization committed to combating veteran suicide.

When he is not working or coaching CrossFit, Andrew is enrolled full time in a MBA program at Arizona State University and likes to stay active and outdoors. He also loves puppies.
